Princess Merida Comic-Con 2012 by sleepyotter Princess Merida Comic-Con 2012 by sleepyotter
Princess Merida from Pixars Brave!

I am so excited for this movie. It was fun to cosplay Merida - I only wish I could have gotten a blonde wig and dyed it a bit more of a saturated orangey -red. But I think it turned out alright nontheless!

Credits: Bow was made by my dad, mom helped with the sewing and my boyfriend helped with fletching and other small things. My friend Kelly took the photo and held my stuff when others came up asking for pictures at comic-con. Thanks all y'alls! :)

I LOVE that blue fabric you used! May I ask where you got it?

Thank you! I got it at Jo-anne fabrics. The gold is similar, but not the exact same if i remember correctly.

Aw boo! Oversees shipping can be hard.

The wig I used is an Angela from Sepia. Here's an example --> [link]

They can run pretty expensive if you order online; I got mine from a local costume shop. It was about $20 cheaper than anything I found online.

Good luck on the costume!

Turned out great! Very cool. I like the detail on the bottom of the dress. That wig looks like it weighs quite a bit, but you can't dress as Merida without a ton of hair!
